I have the similar problem. That is the message I obtain while I attempt to run a Windows executable through Wine 1.2.I be acquainted with that I be supposed to mark the file as an executable in the file properties, however every time I make sure the box, it uncheck itself again.
    I have attempted the following.
    Code:
    Code: Select all
    sudo chown robin:robin file.exe
    sudo chmod 777 file.exe
However still the similar issue keeps occurring.

Is this a known issue? Is there any recognized answer for this issue?

From my opinion you have to pull the software to your PC. When I utilize wine I create a folder in my home folder as well as shift the files to my home folder after doing this tick the box as well as with mine it took it off after that I ran the software. So you have to do this first .try this out may you get solution to your problem. So you have to try this once.

i have gone through your problem and from my suggestionYou have to Right-press on file after that you have to choose Properties, after that Permissions, as well as mark the box at bottom saw Make Executable. At this time it will run. It seems that some new(ish) security characteristic preventing you running .exe's by default, until you create them executable. It is damn maddening.
