Unable to Save the Movies in Linux Mint 9

Hello friends, I just upgrade with the Linux Mint 9. I replaced it from Linux Mint 7 to Mint 9. In that I am having the bit problem that when I try to save the movies it won’t get saved. After a many tries I was fail to save the movies onto it. In Mint 7 after the movie was downloaded for the instance DivX and/or XviD, right click by the computer screen, there is the alternative called SAVE, but that option is not accessible by Mint 9. Please somebody who can solve this problem.

Well I presume that you are trying to save movies which you observe in your browser? I normally make use of the Video Downloadhelper extension for Firefox for this kind of the problem. I merely save them locally, then I watch them from there, for that there is no need to get stop, or else include it bind up your browser. In addition it employs a smaller amount of resource than watching in your browser.

Presently copy or pull the downloaded file outside tmp folder. I am unable to observe any of the reason for downloadhelper in Linux, by means of the extension; it acquires about 5 seconds to grab the videos. There is no matter if it is with the Linux or whatever else. I use it every time, works a treat. For that why to misuse time browsing and photocopying files from cache, while you can now grab the videos, and shut the browser tab off?

Fine if it helps you out then it will great, I recall the extension for Firefox in Windows, I imagine it has the similar name but it may be called DownloaderConverter or somewhat like that, I memorize that it was a small piece of a harass in that it initial had to download the entire videos even if it was previously cached and after that perform a exchange from .flv into .wmv or .mpeg which take a sometime and the outcome was always a ordinary or terrible quality video file. I am right now in the practice of dragging a video out of tmp on the desktop, which is also extremely straightforward and rapid.

Before you describe somewhat dumb you ought to recognize how it performs. By means of the /tmp folder technique you primarily have to wait for the video to completely play in your browser. Or else it's not completely cached, and the tmp file is not absolute. by means of the downloadhelper extension you can in fact shut out the tab in Firefox if you desire, and not have to fret regarding it if it is cached or not. You can select what folder to download the file on the way to, so you don't have to go away into Nautilus and shift the file. I not succeed to observe how this is "dumb". It works pretty fine, and does not sluggish Firefox in several ways. Lastly if you are concerned regarding pace in Firefox let me inform. I'll send several speed pinches here for you that will make Firefox so much quicker you will be wondering why you didn't apply them earlier than.
