If you are having video problem in your Linux Mint operating system such that the video is not working then in that case you may need to check the video chip which is a small device located on your motherboard. Video chip is a special processor whose responsibility is to handle all the video display tasks for your laptop. If you laptop has problem while playing the video then in that case your video chip of the laptop is very weak. You can try replacing the video chip and the problem may be resolved. |

You should also make sure that the video card is working properly. If the laptop works but no picture is displayed on the screen then in that the card is properly inserted also the computer mounts it in an adapter slot. If the video card is mounted to the motherboard then in that cases make sure no jumpers are loose or missing. You should also check the cable entering into the video card. Make sure that the cable is tightly connected. Also you can try disconnecting the cable and then reconnecting the cable again onto the video card. |

If updating the driver, replacing the video chip etc has not resolved the video problem then in that case you can try uninstalling the video driver from the system. After the un-installation of video driver has been completed then you may need to restart the system. When the system restarts then you can browse to the manufacturer website and download new drivers for your system. After downloading the driver you may need to install it. When the installation of driver has been completed then you can play the video and check if the problem of video has been resolved. |
