    sad Windows XP and MTP

    Hi all,

I need my windows xp operating system to recognize my mp3 player via MTP, so that I can use Rhapsody to transfer files to it. Already downloaded and installed MTP kit from microsoft and the Enhanced kit... Tried to update usb driver for the mp3 driver... no luck there... any ideas?

    Try the below steps:
In control panel you have to go to system/ hardware/ device manager. Find the "portable devices" section and double click on the walkman device. select "update driver" button. When asked--- tell it not to search and that you want to manually pick from a list. It should pop up two choices--- mtp or usb mass storage device. select usb mass storage and it re-installs the "hard drive" driver and it shows up again in windows explorer.
