Is it possible to Auto log user off after specific time period?

I am having a system at home and it is used by three people including me and my sibling. Now the thing here is that I want the system to log off a user if he or she is doing nothing with it or keeping the system idle. I mean to say that I f I have logged in with my id and doing nothing for a specific period of time it should log me off. Is this thing possible? If yes then please let me know how to do it.

It seems to me that I can help you out in this case and fix the issue you have to just follow the below motioned steps:
    • First of all you have to click on start and select all programs
    • Then just click on the accessories where you will find the command prompt
    • Open the command prompt.
    • After that you have to type shutdown /i , This will display the Remote Shutdown dialog box .
    • This is nothing but the Shutdown.exe.
    • Then under the Computers option you have to select the “add” to enter the computer name.
    • And then just click on the find computer dialog box.
    • After that you will find the dialog box saying that “What do you want these computers to do” then just click on the restart option or the shutdown.
    • Make sure that you select the proper reason for opting the restart or shutdown.

Well if you want to solve the issue then just follow the below mention steps:
    • First of all start the registry editor
    • You can do the same by typing Regedt32.exe in the RUN
    • After that you have to open the HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMappings\Control.ini
    • Then on the security menu option you will find the permissions tab just click it.
    • Then in the Name box, you have to set the “Everyone” option enabled, and after that click Special Access in the Type of Access box.
    • After that just click on the Set Value option that will allow you to set the value.
    • In that you will find the Create Subkey just checks that box.
    • At last click OK and then reboot the system.
    • I am sure this one will help you to solve the problem

I don’t find any way that will offer you this service. I mean to say that I have checked lot of systems with number of accounts over it but have never heard such thing. In fact I think it is not possible to assign the specific time interval. So don’t try and do anything fancy that will harm your system. I am sure that this is not necessary for your system because whenever the system is kept idle in windows 7 then it automatically logs off the use and saves the power.
