Clock changes the time automatically in Windows 7

Sponsored Links
I am running Windows 7 in my computer. I have checked the time on BIOS and it is correct. Time zone is also properly set. I don’t know what the problem with the clock is. It automatically adds or reduces one hour and shows me time one hour fast or delayed. There is no problem with the date. It is correct. Do you have any idea about this? If yes then please let me know. I will be thankful for all the replies.

You can try to synchronize the computer clock with the Internet time server and see whether that is helping you or not. Synchronizing the clock with the Internet time server will update the time of your system to match the time that is there on the server. This will ensure that the time is shown to your computer is accurate. Here are the steps that you have to follow to do this:
  1. First of all, you have to open the Date and Time. To do this, go to Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region and click on Date and Time.
  2. Click the tab for Internet Time and select change settings. It may ask you for the admin password. Enter that and press ok.
  3. You will see a checkbox for Synchronize with an Internet time server. Check that box and select time server. Click OK.

You can restore your computer to some earlier point of time when it was working fine. Just go through the steps below and this may resolve the problem for you.
  1. Open the search box and type system restore in that. After that you have to click on the System Restore from the list of programs.
  2. If may ask you for the administrator password. If it asks you then provide that and press Enter.
  3. Choose a restore point from the System Restore dialog box and click on next.
  4. Click on the restore point earlier to when you started to get the problems like this.
  5. Click on next button.
  6. Once it finished the restore then it will get restarted and will solve the problem for you.

I don’t think that restoring the computer is the perfect solution for this. Instead of restoring the entire system, you can just go for reinstalling the Windows. Do a clean install and this may solve the problem for you. I am not sure but I have heard that restoring the system many times may leads to crashing the hard drive and that is why I am not recommending you for that.

It may be a virus problem. Before trying any big solution like restoring or reinstalling the Windows, you should scan your computer for virus attack. Install a nice antivirus in your computer and scan the entire system with that. Check that the database for this is up to date. I mean you have updated the antivirus that you are using.
