How to remove ubuntu 10.10 from multi boot

Recently, I have install Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.10 version using Grub loader application; previously I was only running Ubuntu 10.04. But after using it 10.10 for few days I noticed that, it is not giving me good performance as Ubutu 10.04. Ubutu 10.10 has completely disappointed me from its performance. So now I decide to again install the Ubutu 10.04 on my desktop computer. But I have found that I cannot revert back to 10.04 and that I have to do the fresh installation of this version again. So my doubt is that can grub loader will completely remove Ubuntu 10.10 by keeping Windows 7. If not then tell me how I can remove it.

I have search through your question and i think that you can easily remove Ubutu 10.10 from your computer by keeping Windows 7. Grub loader is having this feature to remove operating system by keeping another operating system. And then again you can install ubuntu 10.04. Or you can uninstall it bz directly formatting this operating system.

I was also very disappoint with the Ubuntu 10.10 performance then i did completely uninstallation of this OS. I advise you the same, to uninstall both OS and then again install both Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7 operating system using the same software application. I think this will be convenient for you do this work. Then again using same application you can choose the OS which you want.

There is a way to remove Ubuntu from your system for that you just right click on my computer and then select the manage option; There you can see all the section of the hard drive allocated. Then remove the section of the hard drive which is allocated to the Ubuntu 10.10. And then again install the Ubuntu 10.04 using the CD. And also you can remove it by using "Bcdedit" tool in your booting option. If you are having other query then reply me.

I know a friend who did the same think and here is what he suggested me: If you have any 2nd hdd, add it to your pc and load Ubuntu on the same. Also allow it install grub. Finally, just format original ubuntu partition and you are done. For more info, you can just checkout these threads:
