Select the local folder of the machine from the directory or the POP account which one is used for the Thunderbird. This POP account is contains the mail and the contacts that you are using in the Thunderbird. Then go to the Tool menu option the proceed o the Import/Export option of the mails and the contacts. Go to the mail box file under the tool menu. Open the file by browse the file from the mail application. Select the option to where you wish to import the file, like in the windows mail folder which you mentioned in your post. And click on the import button, after that the Thunderbird will easily import the file in the windows mail. Remember that in the windows mail you have to create the separate folder to back up the imported mail and the contacts from the Thunderbird

I did the exact same thing in my windows computer, export the mail from the Thunderbird to the SeaMonkey, I think the same procedure will work for the windows mail try with this one, this will help you to export the contacts and the email. Close the Thunderbird application if this is opened. The profile folder that you are using for the transfer of the mail and the contacts that you used in the Thunderbird copy the folder from the application and paste that one where you wish to store. Under that folder all the contacts and the mails is stored. Initiate the profile manager, and click for create profile option for the new profile creation; insert the proper name for the profile. Browse the folder which is stored for the backup and then import all the file in the newly created profile and access that one in the application which is you are willing to access (windows mail).

In the windows mail there is a extension which is known as the WebMail extension, which is used for the export the mails and the contacts from the Thunderbird and other mail service, but for that make sure that in the Thunderbird the export access should be enable. Also make sure that the firewall option which are you using is enable for the export of the mail and the contacts. If you are using the POP and the SMTP server then the firewall should also allow accessing the server for the file transferring. make sure that you using the correct port for the mail transfer.

Look up the email account that you are using in the Thunderbird mailing application. You must have the knowledge about the email address, POP3 or IMAP and the SMTP server name. Also the server authentication type that you are having. Export the Outlook contacts after the launching the Outlook application. Go to the file menu option and choose the option which is named as the "Import and Export". After clicking on that it will appear the wizard of the import or export. Select the options that you are tried to export in to some other place and then click on next. This will export the selected files in the desired place.
