Problems after upgrading Ubuntu 10.4 to Ubuntu 10.10

I was using the ubuntu 10.4 from the last few months and it was serving me the best and recently i have upgraded the same to Ubuntu 10.10. I did so just for a change but immediately after the upgradation i have started facing the problems with my VMware Wrokstation. It has stopped working from the moment the upgradation process over. I don't know what is wrong with it and also don't know how to get rid of this problem. It says to me that i need to compile and then run the module on the kernel. Please help me to solve this problem.

I thing you have to reinstall the the vmware workstation on your system. The thing here is that while you were doing the upgradation it may have happen that it corrupted the VMware. So now what you have to do here is that just remove the workstation that you have now and then install the fresh and updated version of it. I hope that reinstalling will solve your problem. And also will not give you such problems in future.

I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that you have committed some mistakes while performing the upgradation. Now what you have to do here is that just install the Ubuntu 10.10 again on your system. And remove all the previous one because they must got corrupted. Also i want to know what kind of error you are getting after loading the modules on the kernel. If possible than let me this one because it will assist me to give you the exact solution for your problem.
