Error Code 0x80070643 while Installing Windows Live Essentials

It is looking like that some other program which is running behind the system and preventing the installer from working. And the error which is causing this it is 0x80070643 and its source is wllogin-amd64. And in my computer Windows firewall is on. And I get this bug with the online and offline installers. In order to get rid from this I have tried everything but still I am not able to remove remnants of previous Live installations. I am running windows 7 64 bit as an operating system.

You have to gather the log files in order to fix this issue and for that just read this that how can you gather these files. First you look for the Logs folder from the following path: In this if you are a XP user then follow this C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\WLSetup ; And if you are a win 7 or vista user the follow this path C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WLSetup. And in the \WLSetup folder you just look for the log folder.Zip file and after getting that you double click on that and extract that. And through this you will get the solution for your query.

I have read the previous post and you can get solution from that but I have one more solution related to this so if you want then you can try this. If you are using XP then tick on Start and type the following command on the Run box then click on OK. Or if you are using windows 7 or vista then tick on Start and type the following command in the Start Search box then press Enter i.e. %Windir%\. And in this if you are prompted for the password then enter your password then type it and click on the continue option. Scroll down to the WindowsUpdate.log file. Tick the right click on the file and select the option Compressed (zipped) Folder. And in last you will get your solution.

I have solution and it is quick than these two which is mention above. You open the MSinfo32. And if you are XP user then tick on Start and type the msinfo32 command on the Run box then click on OK. Or if you are using windows 7 or vista then tick on Start and type the msinfo32 command in the Start Search box then press Enter. And in the system information window click to the save on the File menu. Save the file to Desktop to easily locate it. Tick the right click on the file and select the option Compressed (zipped) Folder. And in last you will get your solution. Only this much and your problem get fixed.

I am having the exact similar trouble that described above by Saqlain. And I think its problem was with the primary Beta of Windows Live Essentials 2011 and mine is with the second Beta. I have put together all the logs and system information, but require an address to send it to. So please response straight to me as to another way to get the diagnostic information to you. Try this, locate the following registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\5DA759907B50B5D44A2D0E43693DE821\000021599B0090400100000000F01FEC]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\F6ED3B2A13600CD419A9B6E14A72A3DA\26ABA8B10F47DE741BC84A13825E198B]


You need to change the permissions for these two keys. Give your username and "SYSTEM" full control - put a checkmark in all fields, than rerun the Windows Live Essentials installation.

Depending on where you are in the process of trying to install Windows live essentials, there may be only one each of the registry keys I mentioned, or several in different places. Do a search in the registry for all instances of each of the following key names and fix the permissions as you go:
