Hp Pavilion dv7 notebook does not allow Windows 7 to update

I am using the hp Pavilion dv7 notebook which has the windows 7 64 bit Home Premium operating system in it. In addition to that it has a Intel core processor, the notebook was running good with that but the problem is that when I tried to update the Windows 7 from the Microsoft website it provided me a number of the error. I tried the process 5 times but it failed badly, so what is the problem in the OS and how can I overcome the issue any advice will help to resolve the problem and i also tried the update after a anti virus scan on the notebook.

Thank you for the replying, i have tried to download the file that you have mentioned above but does get to that properly. So i wanted the link from where i can download the file and also provided me the steps to download and install it in the system, please provide me some solution to fix these issue.
