    help building new Ubuntu file+media server

    I am using the ubuntu operating system, and also i have several different types of servers running in my area and that they are belongs to me in my office , and i am using the servers from lase few years now,but these server are common to me now and i need a better server , also a server with all the functionality, and the thing here is that i actually needed a file plus media server. Here are some features that my server should consist:
    1. Mass storage
    2. It also must have the capability to store the large media files (movies etc.)
    3. it must have the Automatic backup of clients to the server is definitely
    4. I also need the remote backup
    5. It must have media streaming a
    6. IT should consist r emote connectivity + FTP )
    7. Please help me in getting this one.

    According to me the ZFS server system will help you in this case, because as per your requirements its suits you the best also the thing i want to mention here is that it is one of the best in the business. Here are some of the features of the ZFS that will help you in selecting the better one:

    I have gone through your problem or rather i would say it as the concern for your network connection the thing here is that as per your requirements i can suggest you the better ant the best server in the business but i need to know more about the system configuration, But still i will suggest you the ZFS as the server, Can you please sent me the detailed information regarding your system in the following format:
    1. Mother board
    2. CPU that you are using
    3. How much of RAM you are using
    4. Hard disk
    5. Type of Controller,
    6. PSU is present or not
    7. What are the Cooling options available to you in your system

    As per your requirements i will suggest you to go with the Btrfs, It is nothing but the file system which well advanced than any other in the current scenario, The thing is that it is the best in the business and also it supports all the mechanism that you have mentioned in your requirements.Btrfs system is basically the address that has the lack of pooling,multi-device spanning, snapshots, checksums and integral in Linux file systems,. This are some of the crucial features that a file server must need. And i hope that this one will help you . What you have to do is just install it on to your network system and then it will prove right to all your requitements.
