Re: How to integrate SATA driver to install Windows XP?

Remember that the integration of drivers is necessary only if we have an integrated SATA controller not natively (outside the southbridge chipset) or a PCI SATA controller. In general, all SATA controllers are native current plates and no driver needed to recognize hard drives, but if you find yourself with a driver you need, then nothing better to get a driver CD with built-in a few minutes ...To perform a Windows XP CD with integrated SATA driver, you will need :
    • A CD of Windows XP, Windows XP SP1 or Windows XP SP2.
    • Driver SATA controller is not going to integrate native.
    • nLite program.

The first thing you will have to install nLite.

I am trying to help you with the installation of nLite. The following steps would be useful for that same purpose:
    1. Once installed, run it and get your welcome screen, where the first run we choose the language.
    2. Now we must tell the program where we have the installation CD of Windows XP, for which we give the search button and then helping the mini-browser that will, find and select the drive.
    3. After that the program will warn us that it is an empty folder on the HD to copy the files from Windows and will get a mini-browser so we can choose the folder where you want to.
    4. The program will copy the contents of the CD to HD and see information about the type of Windows XP copying, at this point we give the following button.
    5. We got to the window where we can choose previous projects, which in this case as will be the first time we are using nLite is empty. Just give the button.
    6. Now we will see the window where you can select which tasks to perform. Select "Integrate Drivers", "Create bootable ISO" and click on the button.
    7. In the next window can integrate drivers. What we do is to click "Insert" and when it becomes separated other options then select "Controller One".
    8. We will again a mini-browser where to find the SATA controller driver, will locate, select and give it to the Open button.
    9. Now comes a new window where you have to select "Text Mode Driver" (should be selected by default), select the driver to be integrated (can be multiple drivers and we need to integrate Windows XP) and finally give the OK button.
    10. Return to the window where we can integrate drivers, which appear our driver SATA. Again press the Next button.
    11. The program will now ask if we should start, we will give the yes button and wait to conduct the process. When finished in the window will show the complete text and statistics on the size of what we have built.
    12. Integrating drivers is already finished, now need to create a bootable ISO image of Windows XP as we do in the window that just arrived. We simply have to click on the "Create ISO", select where you want to save the ISO and click on the Save button. When finished, in the same text window displays the result of the operation, the file name and size of the ISO. At this point we once again give the Next.

At last when you come to final screen where you create a self-bootable ISO image from the XP CD with SATA driver of our integrated controller. At this point you have to give the Create ISO button on the right, the program will ask where to save the ISO image and after that start the process and when finished will return to where we can create ISO. Comment that if we could integrate multiple SATA drivers, for compatibility with different plates with non-native SATA in the same CD. In fact we can integrate other drivers than text mode, such as nVidia network drivers do not recognize the system until you put drivers, Realtek, C-Media sound, updated graphics drivers from ATI or nVidia (in all cases integrates only the driver, not the control panel associated with the driver) and other drivers. Integration of service packs is also possible and simple. The same goes for post-SP2 patches. With Lite also can create unattended installations and make other changes that do not quite remember now, I think even you can preinstall applications ... but these things have to go looking at every man for himself.

The steps mentioned by the "Willard21" will definitely help you. And just burn the ISO to stay with our favorite show and forget about having to use on your PC the floppy with the drivers on the Windows facilities. I recommend trying on a CD-RW before you burn a CD to buy the proper functioning of this. I would like to say that you could integrate various SATA drivers for the CD serve as the other PCs, but if you noticed on the menu screen nLite gives many more possibilities such as integration of service packs , integration of hot fixes, removal of components, for unattended installation settings and options on some operating system settings, if you try this program out, you'll see that you enjoyed and simple. I want to know if you can add more than the aforementioned SATA drivers, for example, Onboard sound, video card, ide, usb, ... going to make a record that when you install or just leave everything flame is installing the sata,,,?

Re: How to integrate SATA driver to install Windows XP?

It is simply put the CD in Windows XP installation of additional drivers and these are automatically done for the installation and used if needed. In the former case refers to a SATA controller drivers an nForce2 motherboard, the HDs connected to this controller can not install W2000 and WXP directly, have to start the installation, press F6 and after that give the system a SATA controller driver in a 3.5". With the previous process integrating the SATA driver installation CD (on a copy of the files in the installation CD, then create an ISO to burn it to CD) and thus the driver is available and charged for the installation of W2000 or WXP and is no longer necessary or press F6 and provide the drivers on diskette. I'd think that if it is only a matter of putting a driver in a folder best done by hand, but not just put the driver in a folder, it would have to modify configuration files by hand and then to burn to a bootable CD and provide a file that will be responsible for making the CD boot, so this program is very useful because it simplifies the whole process. This as I said is not necessary in modern motherboards with SATA controllers integrated in the chipset (native) but can be quite useful for users nForce 2 boards and users of PCI controllers even more if no floppy drives on your PC as I have seen in more than one occasion.

Re: How to integrate SATA driver to install Windows XP?

At first I could integrate the nVidia audio driver and the nVidia IDE driver, the network I forgot to add. Inf and not grabbed but now appears to stop drivers integrate seamlessly. I must say that only includes the driver, ie not all the software gets added as the audio control panel for nVidia, by placing a similarity is like when you have a SoundBlaster and XP/2000 just installed, the card works (music and other sounds) but the addition of Creative software not installed. I am now to redo the previous installation unattended XP + SP2 + SiI 3112A SATA Driver + Hotfix + post-SP2 nVidia Audio Driver + nVidia IDE Driver but I am going to integrate the nVidia network driver I needed and I trying to integrate an updated driver from ATI. The tests were successful. I managed to integrate the audio driver from Nvidia, the Nvidia network driver, the nVidia IDE driver, the driver controller and one SiI3112A ATI drivers, after finishing the installation and everything worked, the sound , the network card (none of those things did it with the normal installation), the nVidia IDE driver was already set and IT drivers rather than those of long ago. I have to do more tests to see ATI getting updated drivers, will try more after some days.

nLite also mastered the integration of the Windows XP service packs and hotfixes with the slipstreaming method. If you remove all components that can be removed at the moment, the minimum image size of a Windows XP installation CD (including SP2 and all hotfixes) about 100 MB. A good default value for the size of the CD is around 200 to 250 MB, this is achieved without integration of additional programs and drivers. A CD of this size leads fresh install without swap files to an operating system size of about 500 to 700 MB on the hard disk. Have removed components, however, can not more of the so-produced CD to install later. nLite offers you remove Windows components and drivers the opportunity to integrate some drivers. This is useful for example, drivers for SATA or RAID controller, since one thus saves the otherwise necessary to create a driver disk. Especially with notebooks that have a SATA controller, thus the installation of Windows XP without floppy drive is possible. Drivers must be installed under Windows, can selectively copied to CD and installed by the Windows setup will end with. Another alternative is to pay XPlite. However, this is designed to retrospectively individual components already installed system, whose installation is not normally have to remove an influence from. It creates an installation CD.

Always with nLite, you can also incorporate self-extracting program, ad hoc programs by users or found in the whole network in a completely unattended. These programs will feature the most 'of the time extension .Cab. You can utilize DMD as the user has created a simple guide to follow to create and integrate these programs. It starts by creating self-extracting archives with WinRAR and then conclude with the compression of the latter in CAB format (for those who want to use the classic method of Nlite). But the guide will explain many other useful ways to use a self-extracting archive, and their creation. In About Pre-installation, nLite can reduce the interaction (you can 'even eliminate it) by the user during installation of the OS. You can then use the program to set various parameters such as: Serial inserted automatically, disable the firwall drive, set the network settings automatically etc etc. nLite is a free software used to create custom installations of Microsoft Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / XP Microsoft Windows 64. This software is also used to create versions called "pirated" version of Windows. It is currently used to do a fresh install of Windows, which is convenient to avoid downloading all the patches fixes especially when reinstalling Windows.

Re: How to integrate SATA driver to install Windows XP?

Well, nLite has finished its process, changing the copy of the OS according to our wishes, but what to do now with this new copy? Remember that among the various options of nLite was, lastly, to create an iso image? Well if you asked to nLite, you will find in this local ISO file, but what does this mean in detail? It means that this image is nothing more beautiful that your operating system up and running in a single file waiting to be burned on a stand or be tried locally. If your idea is to burn enough munition of the famous recording program Nero or others that you know for example the valid alternative open source CD Burner XP , and when your first cd well now you can test it on your PC. But before that, it will be 'much more' should be as mentioned before, test your ISO in a virtual way. This method will allow you to keep intact your OS you're working but also will save tens of blank media for your test. You can try doing so, try and try again up to 100000 times your iso without creating less-than-minimum casino. Thanks to this program more and more 'valid and virtualization capabilities. Be enough to install the program in just a few clicks and a little juggling with options and you're done!! The goal is to reduce the setup time, and to obtain an installation medium, which is better oriented to their own needs. For example, required components not removed, updates (Service Packs and patches) directly integrated and system settings on the installation media is stored.
