| Re: Constant reboot loop on startup!
- Have you tried resetting the bios (jumper reset or removing the battery from the motherboard)? - Are you sure the timings are not too high for your memory and the voltage for it is sufficient (A lot of memories for OC require a higher voltage)? - Check that your motherboard does not start automatically optimizes system performance bios that would undermine the stability of the system. (FSB Frequency, Voltage processor). - PS: You can try to slightly increase the voltage of the chipset, it is safe and can sometimes improve the system stability. - Are you certain that the PC will not heat? (You can take a program like Everest and watch the temperature in the probes). Finally, finally, you can go to Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Event Viewer> (Application and System) to see what errors have been detected by Windows. |

I have to be roughly the same configure and I totally have the same problem! In fact it is a driver problem Nforce chipset of your motherboard which is certainly not compatible with that of your video card ... The worst is that this inconsistency happens if you have an Nvidia graphics card. In my case I have a Geforce 6800 and ever since I installed this card in a totally random bam I have the same crash. For those who are interested it crashes TCP / IP Stack overflow ... You've said yourself, even formatting does not matter since you re-install the drivers that cause problems. For my part I give up for now but when I change the config full PC NVIDIA's over! |

Hello, this type of BSOD, here is my method of diagnosis. Faulty memory, usually the first question, for me not need tools for diagnosis, an install of XP just because the launch of the XP installer, if the ram is defective, the crash happens already. Alim, often neglected, stable power supply is a cornerstone of the PC especially if random crash. Cooler has veriffier carefully, it is also a possible plateau, if the cpu heats, although the last two generations of Processor, that is not really an issue because the cpu cut before damage. To better diagnose your bsod, in XP you have the means to have a debug file writing in the event of a crash (right click on desktop, Properties, Advanced, Startup and Recovery, then write debugging information). Same look in the log events, both of info can be the cause of a crash. I forgot too, unplug all your usb is also a possible cause of crash. |

Thank you for the answer, I'll just try everything (especially disable the reboot to be able to read the blue screen) Additional info: This is the pc of my sister who has the problem: she uses it for msn! So the PC does not have another graphics card (other than integrated on the motherboard. I had already changed the paw thermal processor, but apparently that was not it. She has nothing except a USB keyboard (this keyboard is not because there was already a problem before she changes). I already made the test memtest and CPU (with the Ultimate Boot CD), and apparently there is no error and the pc worked fine. Reboot it so very random! It may take a day without result, and sometimes (as it's a month ago, he did not even 5 minutes without rebooting). it must be pus two months that the problem persists! The first time I have to format (since I format a right groin 10 times), he sometimes reboot during the upgrade of Windows: it's for her I think it's a hardware problem! I check the frequencies of bus riders and as soon as I get time. By cons, she also complains that the PC often crashes (Firefox crashes). The last time he was before, and he did not want to wake up (I had to cut the current). I will keep you informed of the test I did above (but right now I do not have time because of exams and thank you anyway for the reply. |

Warning Incorrectly editing the registry editor or by another method may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft can not guarantee the solution of problems that result from using Registry Editor. Modify the registry at your own risk. To resolve this behavior, use one or more of the following methods:
If the icons are still incorrect, delete the file ShellIconCache. The range of the value Max Cached Icons is between 100 and 4096. The default value is 500. |

Hello everyone, I saw that the problem of random restart to pc with winxp prof is common to many and see if she caught me too. In short, my P4 2800 winxp prof 512ram Gigabyte GA-8S648FXM2 Radeon9200 256mb ATI video card, a few months randomly reboots itself, it can happen in a few minutes or several times a week for nothing. Exclude the temperature x 'is sometimes happened that after only 2 minutes since it reopened, and every way for cooling keep one side of the open houses. Second thing I tried to disconnect both cd / dvdrw in the case, nothing but the problem persists. At the software level does not have a great utility that apart from the usual office and the game in demo motogp. x regard as viruses, etc. are cleaned up since the Norton is up to date and scans every week. The power supply? A FSP280watt-60PNA-E, that is not appropriate? It 'may work well first and then is not it? Anyway now I have removed the check on reboot in case of errors, and if you have patience to help me in this puzzle, you will copy 'error from the blue screen that will appear at the next restart attempt. Thank you in advance for the advice. |

| Re: Constant reboot loop on startup!
It 'happened to me and who knows how many others. I think it is a generic problem that depends on PC to PC, since it seems that someone will fix it by changing a few pieces, and I've changed them all and I have not resolved. Cannot tell you: you and list the operations performed. The problem since it gave just bought three years ago and had xp pro. I used it for a while 'for months, but spent more time and more was going on. Even more so if they attack a device, which made me think a driver problem or power supply. I reinstalled reformatting, but soon after already formatted during the initial pre-installation I copied some files. I've tried using other operating systems, even Windows 98, but I copied some files, I said it was impossible to copy them at a very early stage. I could not reinstall, so it was even clearer that the problem was not software but hardware. I tried to replace the ram with those of another pc they work fine, but nothing. I tried to replace the hard disk, but nothing. I replaced the motherboard, nothing. I disabled the motherboard and video card I put one outside, but nothing. I thought it might be the power supply and I replaced that too, but nothing. They tell me that the processor or go or not go, cannot do these (although I do not believe). What I have not replaced? There has been some bus connection or broken wire somewhere? In my opinion with this kind of problem is going to attempt hoping to hit, but the solution is not the same for everyone. By the way, I have a pc, no, I have some 'stuff to sell, a HD that works, a bit of ram, a motherboard to + video + audio and a power supply to sell. Everything works perfectly if they are separated. Some people need? |
