Windows 7 system restore error 0xc0000022

Hi all, I was trying to make the system which was scheduled to a checkpoint. The restore process was going normally and after a few seconds it aborts the process and shows me the the error which says : "An unspecified error occurred during System Restore". It was also having something like 0xc0000022. I again tried it on safe mode and again got the same error. I want to know that how do I make the system restore operation properly without getting any error. Thank you !!!

It should have the file error to go together with. This usually caused when the system is looking for some file to execute any task and it is not able to find that file. May be is it lost or renamed or moved to some other location. Why are you restoring it in the first place? You should try the installation disk and repair it on the setup. This will be safest way to avoid that error.

Do you have any security software installed? I an asking you this because there is possibility that your security software is not allowing the restore process to complete. If that is the case then you should disable that first and after that try to do restore. This will definitely solve the problem. Enable the antivirus again after completing all the process of restore.

You can also use the SFC which is System File Checker scan on your computer. This process will replace the missing or corrupt files from your operating system. And check for the issue persists.

There are two ways to do that which are as follows:
    Method 1:
    • First of all type cmd in start search box.
    • Select the option for Run as administrator by right clicking on cmd in the Program list.
    • You have to type the password if it prompts you for that.

    Method 2:
    • Just type the command below and press enter to start.

    sfc /scannow

You should do a system restore before you do updates. All you have to do is Click Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore > Put it back in time/pick your own date. After all this, click on next button. Make sure that you have disabled the antivirus in your system especially if you are having Norton antivirus. I hope this time it work for you.
