Audio problem in W7 (no sound)

Yesterday, I was just testing my speaker with my LCD TV. Therefore, I inserted the sound wire to the TV and when I reinserted it back to my PC I got some problem with it. Therefore I restarted my computer. After restarting I got an icon of speaker with a red cross next to it. It was showing the warning that audio device is not installed.

I have not changed any of the settings on my computer. Now when I try to play some music or video on Windows media player, it says no sound installed.

What may be the problem? Can you suggest me any solution.

It may be problem with your sound driver. It may be corrupted. You can uninstall and reinstall the sound driver. Restart the computer and see the result. If it again showing the same problem then you can download the sound driver for your motherboard from internet and install it in your computer. Restart your computer and now to test the sound simply play some songs or video in Windows media player.

    6. At this point it will ask you for confirmation and click on next to continue. After restoring it will restart your computer.
    7. Again login as Administrator. Now you will see Restoration complete page.

Have you listen any kind of sound from your CPU when you were plugging and unplugging the pin from CUP cord. There is possibility that something have gotten bumped a bit. Sound card is the part of computer that helps to disconnect and and plug them back. Open the case and see that all the components are seated properly specially the sound card. If not then fit it properly and start your computer. I am telling you this because a few months back I was also facing the same problem got it fixed by this.

You can also configure the output. For that you have to go to Control panel and press the playback tab. If windows get refreshed by itself to the default speaker then it will reflect that by sound mixture. Specially this problem is faced with USB headsets. To here the sound you have to set them as default and not the end up.

You have to enable Stereo mixing. You can do this by going through Start > Control Panel > Sound. note that you have switched the control panel to classic view. After doing this press the recording tab. Recording tab contains currently active inputs on you system like microphone. On the blank space right click, it will show you the options for disabled devices. Here you should see additional device called Stereo mixing. To enable this device right click on it and select enable option.

There may be problem with your operating system. As you told that you plugged the pin out from your computer. If you did it when your computer is on then there is possibility that some of the files of operating system for sound may have been corrupted. You need to repair those file. You can do it with OS cd and select repair option while it is booting. This will detect all the corrupted files from your system and repair it. You can try this if nothing helps you.
