When My computer gets shuts down as soon as I am installing windows xp. After copying of files from windows cd to hard drive completely , Computer displays the message on the screen "do you want to install a new copy of windows or repair this old one" and after this stop the process.. I take off one of the RAMs. I check the hard disk and controlling the heat. If you have any solution please provide me.

    This is the problem because of the heating problem. This problem happen when ever you installing XP. Before 38 minutes completion of installation the computer turn off. The solution for this is ...
    -> Make the temperature minus 6 degree.
    -> Remove the battery.
    -> Install the Xp cd.

    Do this .

    There will be two possible problems..
    1: The motherboard or cpu static fried.
    2: The setting of CPU heat sink will not proper.
    because of this the PC turns off.

    In the BIOS PC would not shut off because it isn't using as much CPU usage as the XP install.

    This could be happen because of the several possibilities.

    * corrupt motherboard
    * corrupt memory
    * weak source

    To overcome this problem try to substitute each part separately.

    For this types of problem happen because of memory chip failing .
    Perform following things to overcome this…
    • Go inside the bios check .
    • If there is not any problem then
    • Check the memory of RAM .
    • Check how many memory chips you have.
    • You can try to remove one chip - install XP... if it shutsdown then
    • Remove the other chip.
    • Install the chip that you remove first...

    Also you can boot the CD : Go to recovery consolde and run a chkdsk.
