Error 2738 - could not access VBScript run time for custom action.

I am trying to activate my Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go device on my Acer Aspire 1410 laptop on which I have installed 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Now the problem is that when I start installation then it aborts in between with an Error 2738 -- could not access VBScript run time for custom action. I have done same thing on my friend’s laptop which also has the same OS. Please help me to get rid of this error.

This error messages which you have got indicates that the VBScript engine is not currently registered on the machine. You can try these steps to solve the problem.
    1. Go to the Start Menu and click on Run.
    2. Type CMD on Run Search Bar to start Command prompt.
    3. Type cd %windir%\system32 and press Enter.
    4. Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll and press Enter.
    5. Type regsvr32 jscript.dll and press Enter.

I suggest you to update the drivers of Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go device as there could be some problematic. Go to the Start and open Control Panel and then click on the System and Maintenance. Open Device Manager and enter Admin's ID and Password. Now choose the device of which you want to update the drivers and then double click on it. Switch to the Driver Tab and then click on Update Driver.

As you are running 64-bit version of Windows operating system, Go to the Command prompt and then type reg delete " HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8} " /f, then hit Enter. Then you have to type c:\windows\syswow64\regsvr32 vbscript.dll, then hit Enter. Now check that are you getting the same error or not.
