Windows update error 80200053 KB982670 Microsoft .net framework 4 client profile for Windows 7 x64 systems

Recently I have configured windows 7 x64 in a VM runningunder Hyper-v in 2K8R2. I have selected all the updates that are given by the windows update only leaving the Language packs. But the problem is that I am receiving error for windows update error 80200053 KB982670 Microsoft .net framework 4 and I think that this is for the client profile for the Windows 7 x 64 system. Is there anyone who is facing this problem or any specific solution for the problem I am facing?

I have done this on the real computer system and it is working fine there. After that I have tried that thing for windows 7 that I have installed under Hyper-v and at the time of installing I have selected all the updates that are given. The same thing happened to me but I got the different error message that error code 80246002. Then I rebooted the machine and start the same thing and then I have got the same error message that you are getting.

I think I am also in the same queue of getting the error message at the time of doing update. I mean that I am also getting the same error windows 7 update error. I thought that I am getting this error because of problem at the time of downloading. So I tried to download that thing again but this time it is not downloading at all. If any of you able to find the solution for this problem then let me know about it.

I am not confident about the solution but you can try this, may be this will be helpful for solving the issue. I think that the problem is because of the .net framework you are using I will suggest you to download .Net frame work from this link. After installing the .Net framework try to upgrade your windows 7, and this time you will not get any error message. This has worked for me and hopping that it will also work for you.

If you are getting error 80200053 at the time of updating KB982670 on your virtual machine, then according to the reason for this problem are security software inconsistency, or your update folder for window is corrupted and finally this can be a problem of DNS Trojan. If any of the issue is causing the problem then you can try to run windows update Troubleshooter for solving this problem. I will suggest you to verify the time setting of your system.

For solving this problem I will suggest you to forcing the DNS in wired connection and for doing this you need to follow these steps.
    1. First you have to go to Network and sharing center and then go to Manager network connection
    2. After that you have to right click on Local Area Connection then choose properties.
    3. After that you have to highlight the Internet Protocol Version 4 and then you need to click on properties.
    4. Then you have to configure the DNS that is preferred and reboot your computer system.
    5. It will better if you install the update in safe mode.
I am sure that this will help you to solve the problem that you are facing.

I have got the solution for this problem; actually the real culprit is the security programs that you are using. If you are also facing the problem then for resolving this issue you need to follow these steps.
    1. You need to temporarily disable all the security programs that you are using.
    2. After disabling the antivirus software or the security programs that you are using you have to run services.msc. and for running this you can go to Start then to Run and then type “services.msc” and hit Enter
    3. Search for the windows update service and then stop that service and start that again.
    4. Now you can run window update.
    5. After completing the installation do not forget to enable your security settings.
