xp setup from dos full info needed....

pls help me solving this.....


i am trying to create a boot dvd with both 98,xp setups and some hiren's tools..like ghost,partition magic,killdisk etc.....

i got 98 setup running sucessfully...

xp setup shows tis...

setup needs 529 mb freespace for storing temp files...

press enter to exit.....


i have installed smartdrv.exe,xmsdsk.exe....

i have a doubt where to copy setup files frm i386 to ....
whether to ramdisk or to harddisk...

pls help...

To install Windows XP from DOS:

• Boot your computer with Windows 98 Start Up disk
• Insert the Windows 98 CD into the CD drive
• Run smartdrv.exe from the Win98 directory on the windows 98 CD (file caching)
• Type "cd.." to go back to the root directory
• Now put Windows XP CD into the CD drive
• Copy the i386 folder to C:\
• Open C:\i386 folder and type winnt.exe to launch the setup from the hard disk.
