Offline folders Access Denied when not connected

Hi, we have just completed a pilot for AD Migration project from one (Win2k3) forest to another. Both forests have a two way trusts with the File Servers remaining in Domain A until all the users have been migrated to Domain B. The pilot was to migrate 20 Users, PCs, local profiles (inc SIDs) & groups to the new domain using ADMT 3.1

We'd carried out test migrations and the Pilot worked well, however we had a couple of users calling us saying they're not able to access their home folders when off-line and get an "access denied" message. When they connect to the network (LAN or VPN) they are able to access/sync their home folder.

    We've tried:
    - Adding the local "everyone" group to the local file
    - Adding their profile (in the new domain) to the local file
    - Recreating the offline folder

Anyone have any thoughts that could help please??

Re: Offline folders Access Denied when not connected

Did you notice any files that look like {12349299293020...}.tmp on your file share? There is a very simple workaround by setting the sharing permissions to "Full control" for everyone who is expected to modify the files. If you have been able to succesfully sync your offline changes after changing the share permissions to "Full Control", then it is fine to delete the tmp files.
