You need to go to Tones > Service > Possible remedy Check the tones:
1 long beep + 2 short beeps error in the display system (card or graphics adapter ) Check the connection to the graphics card ( it may be mis- pressed ) .
1 beep Refresh failure of RAM Reseat the memory modules. If this persists, change them or change the settings of memory access
3 beeps error in the first 64 kilobytes of memory Try to reinsert your RAM sticks . If the problem persists , replace them.
4 beeps error due to refresh Change your motherboard .
5 beeps Processor error Reseat the processor .
6 beeps Keyboard Standard Check if any key is pressed ( keyboard , mouse) and if everything is connected correctly.
8 beeps Display impossible Reseat the graphics card or memory extension . If this persists, change the graphics card .

Make sure the battery terminals are clean and offer good contact, the starter takes a lot to start. In general, it disconnects the battery 10 minutes to allow the system to empty , then it comes to his senses , sometimes it helps to leave but it does not move quickly to the local SC . Check the battery voltage allows the passage of an idea of his general condition .

To change the coto currently use on your installation, open the file "/ boot / grub / menu.lst " with your favorite editor .
    gksudo gedit / boot / grub / menu.lst
Then in the bottom of the file , locate the line beginning with a tos ways :
    # # ge tofoptions vga = = ? ? ? resume = /tov/hda5
    # tofoptions = quiet splash
    Where " ? ? ? "Is the coto to Current definition to screen to start-up. Examples : vga = 792 or vga = 0x318

Options FP Mode DRAM Read WAS and EDO Read WAITSTATS characterize synchronization of RAM for reading strips and EDO DRAM ( they are sometimes called DRAM Read WAS, DRAM Read Wait States , ...). This option sets the number of cycles waiting compared to the system bus, because the bus system is sometimes too fast compared to the memory which causes usually crashes . Thus , you can try to lower the number of cycles waiting for accelerating the system.

A dynamic memory consists of a multitude of capacitors that lose their charge over time , that is to say that the memory is progressively ... memory. It needs to be refreshed himself with small electrical pulses coming recharge the capacitors . These pulses have a duration of about one millisecond , or time in a computer is identified in relation to the clock frequency. It will then indicate the duration of refresh intervals over the frequency clock ( CLK 1 "corresponds to a clock pulse while " 2T or 3T " corresponds the number of CPU cycles ( CPU ) ) . These values should be as low as possible to get a good optimization . Each value can generally be lowered by one unit compared the value set by the auto-configuration.
