Windows 7 and ISA server error

I am having a computer which is running with the Windows 7. But when i was installing the ISA Server 2006 in the Windows 7 it gives me the error message "This platform does support ISA server 2006". I have worked for this error a lot but could not found any proper solution to resolve the issue. So if any one can the please let me know about it. Thank you.

Hey as per your issue i have searched and come to know that the ISA Server 2006 is not compatible with the Windows 7. It can only run on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 32-bit operating system with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit. If you wanted to know more about this then click here.

I think there is one thing that can help you with the installation of the ISA Sever 2006 which you are trying to do. For the installation of the ISA Server 2006 first you have to install the Windows XP mode in the Windows 7 running machine and then install the ISA server 206 in the Windows XP mode which will run in the compatible mode.

I am not aware of the Windows XP mode which you are talking about so if possible then let me know what it is and what step has to follow to perform the installation of the same.

Windows XP Mode is a virtualization on the Windows 7 operating system which allows the application which are not compatible with the Windows 7 can run on the same. There are lots of the application which can run on the XP only but there is no support for the Windows 7. So Microsoft introduced the Windows XP mode for the same.

I think even if you use the Windows XP mode for your Windows 7 to run the ISA Server 2006 then also you can not succeed with the same. As i have read about the support of the ISA Server 2006 on the Microsoft and it tells that Windows 7 is not compatible with the ISA Server 2006. If you need to run ISA server then you should switch to ISA Server 2004 which will work.
