Use Bitlocker that comes with a read only viewer for xp and other OS's no need to have bitlocker enabled OS to take advantage of this. You can try to use BitLocker in Vista with a TPM by editing group policy. Other than that, you have to decrypt the drives in Windows 7 and can then use it in vista OS.
