How to clear D Drive

My PC keeps informing me to clear D Drive of unneccessary files. How do i identify them & clear the same?

Clearing a hard drive partition is simple if you are using Windows 98, XP, Vista or Windows 7. For the time being, I would specify the steps involved in Windows XP. Please operate accordingly on your operating system. Go to your Windows Desktop and double click on My Computer. Now right click on your hard drive partition (in your case D drive) and select Properties. Under General tab, click on Disk CleanUp. This will automatically detect unnecessary files on your hard drive partition and ask you if you want to clear them. Take your desire actions accordingly.
