    Authentication problems with Snow Leopard

I am having an authentication problems. I am using the Snow Leopard and not able to authenticate properly. I am working on the machine, I realized that authentication does not work in FTP. When guest access is allowed, the connection is successful, but when I want to log, I am entitled to a mistake "read timeout". Mac OS X v10.6.2 and later modify the operation of authentication for the reception of messages in Mail POP Mail and will not test alternative authentication methods if the preferred method does not work. So, please tell me how to fix this issue.!!?? Help me as soon as possible.

To solve the problem, sure to select the appropriate authentication scheme Mail preferences :
    1. First you will have to open Mail if you are not running.
    2. Then in the Mail menu, choose Preferences.
    3. Once you enter the Preferences, then click on Accounts.
    4. In an Accounts, Select the POP account on the left side affected.
    5. Then click the Advanced tab on the right.
    6. Select the correct authentication method from the popup menu.

If your Mail POP Mail and will not test alternative authentication methods if the preferred method does not work that means your POP mail server is not compatible with the authentication scheme you choose in the Mail preferences, Mail can not process incoming messages. I would also like to tell you that the latest version 1.2 of the software Protector Suite for Mac, comes with the fingerprint readers and Eikon To Go is not compatible with the new version of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

I would like to suggest you to contact your Internet service provider to find out the correct settings if you did not know: Password, MD5 Challenge-Response, Kerberos Version 5 (GSSAPI), Authenticated POP (APOP) or NTLM. If you suffer from this problem, firstly tested Password or APOP. You will also have to check if there is any bug related to the Snow Leopard.

When upgrading to Snow Leopard may be some problems connecting to the Airport that may require the reconfiguration of the computer network. Try the following steps :
    1. Open the Preferences Panel / Network.
    2. Select Airport and click the Advanced button.
    3. Select the TCP / IP tab and select Configure IPv4 Using DHCP (Note that you should always use DHCP, never a static IP).
    4. Click the OK button and then press the Disable button first on Airport and then on the Activate button Airport, which will reset the card.

You will have to following the below steps for connecting to the Airport :
    1. Open the Gateway to key rings located in /Applications/Utilities.
    2. In the left column select Logon and Certificates. In the right column select the certificate radius.uv.en and open it.
    3. Opening the shows down to trust functions are relying on this certificate. By default extensible authentication (EAP) and X.509 Basic Policy, which should be sufficient to function.
    4. If we can not work effectively select Always trust the dropdown By using this certificate.
    5. When we close the window of the certificate validation request the user's computer to save the changes.
    6. Then we can restart the Airport again to verify.
