Is Movienizer compatible with Windows 7?

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate operating system and I have many movies in my system. I am finding problems in organizing the movie files in my system. So, my friends had suggested me to use Movienizer, that allows to organize the movie files and thus, provides a catalog. But, I need to know that, is Movienizer compatible with Windows 7? Since, many of my friends are using Windows XP and Vista, I do not know if it works properly in Windows 7. Please provide suitable help.

There is no problem if Movienizer is incompatible with Windows 7. You just need to do compatibility troubleshoot for that purpose. You can get this option when you right-click on the shortcut of the icon of the application. There you can let the system detect the errors that the application is having with the system or you can simply specify the errors that you are finding with operating system. After that, the system will set in the compatibility mode for that particular application. If it runs well, then just apply the settings for the future.

Movienizer may be incompatible with Windows 7 because there are many incompatible programs and applications in Windows 7. It is recommended to use the hardware and software evaluation wizard, that helps you to detect the incompatibilities in your system. It is recommended that you do not upgrade to Windows 7, since you have problems like Movienizer incompatible with Windows 7. The incompatible programs are the first reason that you should not upgrade to Windows 7. The second reason is that it is too expensive. Next, Windows 7 is mostly the same as Windows Vista. To upgrade for Windows XP, you need a clean install. So, inshort upgrading to Windows is a lot of loss to any user.

I'm using Movienizer for several months. It works great on Windows 7! With help of this program I can organize my collection and browse it by movies, persons, rating, location etc. When I enter any film in the database, the program can easily download any information about the movie, supports many internet databases and besides I can add my own scripts there. I also often give my dvds to friends and with Movienizer's loan manager I can easily track where my dvd is.

    Hello Orion,

    Have you checked compatibility?
    Just an FYI for you.

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibility.)
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/com...s/default.aspx
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".

There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!

As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...egory/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assistance and support.

    Thanks again,
