W2003, SQL server on new hardware?

I am running the old application of ASP.Net 2003 on the windows 2003 server or the operating system. I am also using the SQL server 2000. I know that these two application are outdated application but I do not have money for updating the software but I am planning to update my computer system with the new hardware because I am having the money for the same. I have just one question to ask that my old application of ASP.Net 2003 will run smoothly on the new hardware or it will have any problem. Please reply.

According to me till you are running the same operating system of windows 2003 server you will not have any problem in running your ASP.Net 2003. But you have to make one thing for sure that your operating system is compatible with the hardware. If you are changing the operating system then there will be a problem of compatibility.

I am also you using the same operating system of window 2003 server and also the application ASP.Net 2003 and I am not facing any problem with that. I have also tried to upgraded my operating system but it does not have any problem. In simple words there will not be any problem if you update the operating system also.

All the hardware which is available in the market now is having the 64 bit and I do not think this will have any problem. But keep one thing in mind that if you are buying the new hardware then it will be better if you think about the virtualization. So I will suggest you to virtualize your window 2000 server. It will be a better method.

See you do not have to worry about this because Microsoft provides supports on the service pack, and in some cases the immediate preceding are done. For you convenience Microsoft is giving the list of the service packs. Hence there is nothing to worry about and you can upgrade the hardware of your computer system.
