Windows 7 on Dell Precision 670 Adaptec Host Raid doesn't work

My dell precision 670 desktop was installed with windows XP which i have upgraded to windows 7. In windows 7 i am not able to see raid setup. i tried to find windows 7 drivers but unable to find it. Please tell me how can i use a different drivers for windows 7 which will be released at a later stage. please help me to get rid of this situation.

First of all i would like to ask you whether the Chipset on your motherboard supports Intel Raid using either Sata 1 and Sata 2 ports. Also check whethr the Intel Matrix Storage Manager for RAID is enabled or not . If not then you need to enable it. If you can enable raid on an intel mother board then it clearly indicates that you have an Intel Raid using the 32bit or 64bit Matrix Storage Manager.

i would like to know whether you can Disable or enable the SCSI controller from the bios of your system and also i would like to know whether you can disable the SATA operation in BIOS. Please specify the options which you get since after all these information are known i can try to give you a possible solution to this problem.

Thanks for giving me replies so much quickly . Yes i can disable and enable the SCSI controller from the BIOS. Also i can disable and enable the SATA operations. please tel me what to do to solve this problem. should i t6ry to set SATA or the SCSI on or off and then restart the system. I get the choices as RAID ON or RAID OFF. i would really appreciate your help in this matter.

I think you need to follow the steps which i have mentioned below

• Take backup of your SCSI drivers.
• Reboot the system and enter bios to set the boot order after that insert the discsload the setup and follow the steps and complete the installation.
• When the system boots for the first time do not reboot.
• Open the command prompt and run it as the administrator.
• Open the system 32 folder in the c: directory.
• Run the "bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS "and
• "bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON"
• This should definitely solve the issue.
