Switch from ACHI to IDE compatible mode

    Hi all,

I am Host three harddisks in my system, which made two sata raid 0 and raid 1 (ich9r set to raid), the third one for the ide and ide dvd writer, does the JMicron bios should be set to IDE or ACHI? If ACHI is can be used, will be faster? Please suggest.

Switch from ACHI to IDE compatible mode

Into the BIOS-MAIN-SATA CONFIGURATION years, the SATA CONFIGURATION set to COMPATIBLE mode, then save the exit to WINDOWS in trying the software you mentioned can use and check. If the equipment does not use this software sub-systems, we recommend that you use GHOST8 or higher version of the software, the DOS partition to complete the preparation for any sub-working. Check and reply.

The main port of your motherboard has IDE and SATA port can be coexisted. BOIS where you can set the SATA priority, and addressed in that setting is how, depends on your motherboard model. Representation of different types of motherboards are not the same. All the best.

Not all motherboards are supported with the use of parallel and serial port. There are several MSI boards do not support. Recommended to walk under their own board to make decisions more parameters or have used the parallel port. Check and reply.

Switch from ACHI to IDE compatible mode

Conventional method to install SATA driver steps are:
    (1) Enter the BIOS, set SATA hard disk mode AHCI (different motherboard, different identification methods.)
    (2) It will load a SATA driver floppy disk into the floppy drive, set the computer boot from the CD-ROM Windows installation CD, the installation interface appears just in time press the F6 key. In the pop-up select disk controller driver interface with the S key to select the floppy drive in the installer will load the floppy disk in the SATA drive, then the installation routine operation.
Because of the special SATA driver installed, which leads to many friends away from the correct installation, has been using a SATA hard drive to use compatibility mode. All the best.
