Install Linux Kernel on old laptop

    Hello,
I would just install the Linux kernel on an old laptop. Already, this is only the kernel was the shell? Does it run on a PC with a Pentium MMX, 64 MB of RAM? Is it that I could program in C + +? With Qt (if I have a GUI)? With this work on my laptop? What are your suggestions on this. Any help regarding this topic is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No, but you do not need anyway to install the kernel.
    Code:
Does it run on a PC with a Pentium MMX, 64 MB of RAM?
Yes, I think this largly depends in this.
Will I be able to program in C + +? With Qt (if I have a GUI)?
I do not think you should have any problems regarding this.

    Hello,
The trick is that the PC is not equipped with a network card, or I do not know the run. So, for Linux is a pity because the Internet is widely used. Do I install Debian? I found Enlightenment as distribution, but I did not feel that they can code C + + / Qt. Do you know if you can code in C + + / Qt? Is it okay to code web sites (PHP5.3 / MYSQL5) with?

    Do I install Debian?
Yes, completely. With CDs or DVDs. Note that an Ethernet card, it costs very cheap.

Enlightenment was not a distribution. But yes, you can do C + + with any distribution. If you need any more help regarding this topic then please do post back.

I also want to install a linux kernel on old laptop. Ok, how do I have a linux without graphic, I can program in C + + with Qt on my Dell Latitude CP? It takes a special distro? I mean to say that would I have to use a special linux distribution for that. If you have any suggestion for me then please post them.
