Metro UI: A breakdown for Windows 8?

The Metro UI is mainly designed for smartphones or tablets or any other touch enabled devices which is capable to run Windows 8. It really looks good and works well on small devices. It is equally attractive and useful. But it is not a best suited for non-touch laptop or desktop PC. It is shows huge amount of negative remarks for the majority of Windows users. The problem is not much about the Metro. It is a good approach for the touch devices but it is spectacularly inappropriate. Windows 8 boots much faster but without the Metro UI it might have been the best version of Windows.

The Consumer Preview Windows 8 has been released by Microsoft on February 29, to allow all who wish to install and test the free successor to Windows 7. The big news in Windows 8, you may know already, this is a new interface called Metro that breaks completely with the traditional Windows interface and is close to those mobile terminals. Logical since this interface is designed to fit both computers with touch screens as tablets and smartphones. In the new Windows start menu and is replaced by a Start screen, which becomes the crossing point must system.

Logically, I can say that the Windows 8 released somewhat like an Appleā€™s Snow Leopard. I mean it is a minor upgrade from Windows 7 without any new features but only improving performance all around. Metro in Windows 8 is really a problem rather than a good execution. It looks like a funky widget layers somewhat similar to the Dashboard or Yahoo! Widgets

Metro is already known by Windows Mobile 7, and on Xbox 360. The company promises to offer all the systems in the future with a full-fledged metro. The advantage of Metro is that it can be operated without a mouse and keyboard better. Metro UI will be the primary user interface. The classic desktop plays only a minor role. Not even the code is loaded when the user starts an application does not explicitly.

The first reactions from testers are less positive than hoped. Although the design of the Metro UI applauded, there is still carrying on some things to criticize. First there is the restriction that apps should be at least 768 pixels high. Lower resolutions are not supported. Metro UI allows for two apps side by side in the screen, but there is a minimum required width of 1366 pixels. That means a minimum screen resolution of 1366 x 768 should have to best take advantage of Windows 8. The minimum resolution is 1024 x 768 according to Microsoft. This means that nearly all current 7-inch tablets to lose weight.

Metro PC is intended as a replacement for the dashboard and start. For the rest of the PC is the use to which we are usually familiar to. If you press start to enter in the dashboard and start seeking applications (or in applications where the integration support) if you press it again back to normal desktop.
