Re: Virtual Server on Hyper-V
A virtual partition does not have access to the microprocessor . In fact it has a virtual view of the microprocessor and running in the Guest Virtual Address, which depending on the configuration of the hypervisor may or may not be the entire virtual address space. A hypervisor can choose to expose only a subset of processors to each partition. The hypervisor intercepts interrupts the processor and redirects the respective partitions using the logic Synthetic Interrupt Controller (SynIC).
