The problem you are facing is not a good sign because may be you are having problem with your hard disk. Before coming to any decision try to repair your window 7 operating system using the window 7 DVD but after repairing your operating system the problem remain same then “manf diagnostics software” to confirm that is there any problem with the hard drive.

Well, try to update the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) it will be better if you try to restore it to the default settings. If that does not work then disable the AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) in BIOS. If you are having problem doing that then you can refer to manual provided with your laptop. Search for the steps for “How to configure BIOS”. If you have connected any hardware device then please remove it, if the problem persist then you have to replace the hard disk and install the operating system again

If your computer system is sternly damaged and you are unable to access the System Recovery Options menu on your computer system, then you can have the access on it using the Windows 7 installation DVD
For doing this you have the first reboot your computer system.
    a. Insert the window 7 DVD.
    b. Reboot your computer
    c. After that start the window 7 installation
    d. Repair the operating system your computer.
    e. After that select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
    f. On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.

According to me may be you are facing one of the problems.
    1. You would be having bad CD/DVD drive / Windows Image
    2. Bad Hard Disk test with manf diagnostic software / Boot to your Windows 7 Disc
    3. DVD drive does not similar to the type of DVD Windows is on.
Try to repair to get a command prompt open - run chkdsk /r
May be this will help you.
