How to disable the visualization of items in the Taskbar

Please help me in solving this issue. Recently I installed Windows 7 operating system on my laptop and I am finding the visualizations of the minimized windows very irritating. Every time my mouse goes over any items on the task bar, all the minimized windows start showing up. I find it useless as I dont use combined icons functions. Therefore somebody please suggest me How to disable the visualization of items in the Taskbar in Windows 7? Any suggestions/solutions are more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

To disable the Visualization of the minimized windows in the Task bar you will have to disable the Aero peek feature of Windows 7. The Visualization feature is by default enabled when the Aero feature is enabled. To disable the Aero feature of Windows 7, click on Start and then go to control panel. In the Customize Windows options, disable the Aero feature and save the settings. Now the visualization of the minimized windows will be disabled. Now you will have to click on the minimized windows to open them.

The one more way to disable the visualization feature of Windows 7 is to edit the user configuration of Windows 7. You will have to disable the Task bar miniature feature of the Windows 7, which will solve your problem. To disable the Task bar miniature feature of Windows, follow the steps below :-
    1. Click on Start menu and select Run.
    2. Type "Gpedit.msc" and hit enter.
    3. Go to User Config and then select Admininstrative Layouts
    4. Select Start Menu And Taskbar
    5. Click on Disable taskbar miniatures.
Save and apply the settings. Now there wont be any visualization of minimized windows.

You will not be able to disable the visualization feature of Windows 7 by disabling the Aero feature. The visualization feature is an integral part of the Windows 7 operating system due to which it does not get disabled when the Aero feature of the Windows operating system is disabled. You can try disabling the taskbar miniatures and then see if your problem is solved or not. As far as I know, the visualization feature of Windows 7 cannot be disabled.

There is way in which the Windows Visualization feature can be disabled on Windows 7 but for that you will have to edit the Windows registry file which can lead to system failure if not done properly. To edit the Windows registry of Windows 7, follow the steps :-
    1. Click on Start menu and open Run.
    2. Type "regedit" in the run tab and hit enter.
    3. Locate the following key in the registry
    "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced"
    4. Right click on the the key and select New --> DWORD (32-bit) value.
    5. Name the new Dword as "ExtendedUIHoverTime".
    6. Right click on the value and Select "edit".
    7. Put the value as 20000 or more.
Save the registry and restart the computer.
