As per the discussion i have come to know that you are trying to install the new monitor with the Windows 7. But have upgraded the driver of monitor. If not then upgrade the driver first and then try to install monitor which might not running because of the compatibility issue. So do as i said and get your monitor display back. Thanks

I think you need to download the latest driver for hardware which you are trying to run with the Windows 7. The Windows 7 having problem running the older version of the driver which can be solved with the latest version of the driver. So download the latest version of the Graphic driver and install the same. This will definitely resolve your issue.

Windows 7 are still having the driver issue which is unable to run the Third party driver on the Windows 7 so if you are getting the same problem the i will suggest you to ask your vendor for the Windows 7 compatible driver or download the same from the Official site of the HP which might resolve the issue regarding the WideScreen.

If all the above reply is not working for you then it is better to call up your dealer or the HP help center for the issue that you are getting with your monitor. The HP help center can resolve your issue and as soon as possible. The number of the HP support is printed on the monitor which you have got recently. That all i can help you. Thanks

    Hello Mattabesic,

    Have you checked compatibility?
    Just an FYI for you.

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibility.)
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/com...s/default.aspx
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".

There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!

As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...egory/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.

    Thanks again,
