Backtrack V4 graphics problem

Hello,
I install Back Track V4 (I believe it is in beta) on a USB key, the all goes well, after I have a menu that asks me how I want to run. I have a LiveCD and console and I type the command to return to fashion graphic and I see that my mouse appear to be done? What must I change do get the graphics on, or is this a problem with the graphics of backtrack v4.

I'm not sure that black leaflet is an ideal cast to begin with. Otherwise, your problem may be graph comes from the fact that the X server is connected to any graphical environment using Gnome / KDE, etc. What is the desktop environment you are using in your linux operating system and also what is the linux distribution you are using. The distribution of the linux based operating system matter some times.

I do have a similar kind of a problem regarding my backtrack software, I do not understand why the window does not appear when I try to go in the graphical mode of software. There are several options, I'll watch some other options to start back track, but if you suggest it would be great. Also, I use the linux ubuntu operating system and try to run the backtrack software on it in the graphical mode. If you have an solution of this then it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
When you throw BackTrack, there are several choices. The first must backtrack with KDE because I think this software does not support the KDE desktop environment. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, it happens with KDE it does not work. Try the second option which I have mentioned , there might be a problem with your graphics card. So, if you change the graphics card the problem might be solved.

I think you can configure this through the command line as it is shown below
Do this in the terminal as a root user.

/ Etc / init.d / kdm start
# Or
/ Etc / init.d / gdm start
# Instead of
startx

If init.d does not exists, it must be rc.d. Or just try both of them.
