Re: How to create partition using cmd prompt?

You will need to use 'Diskpart' command of cmd prompt for create partition. Diskpart enables a superset of the actions that are supported by the Disk Management snap-in. The Disk Management snap-in prohibits you from inadvertently performing actions that may result in data loss. It is recommended that you use the Diskpart utility cautiously because Diskpart enables explicit control of partitions and volumes.

There is special command prompt command used to create the partition, and which is diskpart. You can use many option with this command in the way to customize the partition. such as 'list partition' and 'select disk'. The create option of diskpart is basically used to create the primary partition. I don't know more about this cmd prompt command.
