Java error 0xc0000005 with windows 7

Hello everyone i am using a compaq desktop which was installed with windows XP. I have recently upgraded my system to windows 7 and it started giveing me an error message Java error 0xc0000005 with windows 7. I don't know why i am getting this error message please help me to get rid of this problem.

First of all i would like to know whether you have upgraded the existing copy of windows XP or you simply did a clean install of windows 7. First make that clear and then i would be able to help you in this matter. It may be because of messing up of some of the system files associated with java application.

Thanks for the reply but since i posted the query in some hurry i forgot some points so i would like to tell you that i have upgraded the windows XP operating system to windows 7. please help me to get rid of this problem soon so that i can use my system without any sort of error. Anyways thanks for the reply once again.

Since you are facing this error because of the upgradation i would advice you to perform a clean install of the windows 7 once again on your system. This installation will definitely eliminate the error which you are facing. The java error 0xc0000005 will be solved as soon as you finish installing windows 7 cleanly.

To solve this go to that start menu and click Run , type in "msconfig" and press the enter Key. Now select the Startup tab. Click Disable all. In the Services tab try to put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services check box and here also disable all. apply these settings. Press OK and Restart the machine.

You do not have to bother very much about this since this is not a very critical problem. You need to install the java updates on your computer i think you are not connected to the internet since the computer automatically downloads and installs the java updates on your systemto do this manually

• Go Start ->Search sfc /scannow
• Press the Enter Key.
• The system file checker will ask you for the windows cd if the updates are not installed insert it.
• Otherwise it will not ask for the windows CD.
