    DVD Drive Not working Properly After Installing Windows 7

    Recently i have upgraded my acer aspire laptop with windows 7 initially it was running with windows 7. Right after installing windows 7 my DVD Drive stopped working correctly. What happens is what whenever i insert a DVD disk in to the Drive it reads the disk for a moment and then it stop reading it. please help me to get rid of this issue.

    To get your DVD drive back again to works you will have to perform the steps which are mentioned below.
    1. Click Start And enter " Device Manager "In the search field.
    2. Click the plus sign (+ ) Against the DVD / CD-ROM .
    3. If the DVD / CD-ROM does not appear in the list, go to Step 2 to reset the power and reinsert the drive cables if necessary.
    4. Select the drive name, click the button uninstall and wait about 5 seconds.
    5. Click Action Selected Search for hardware changes Then wait until Windows finds and installs the CD / DVD.
    6. Once finished, the drive name should appear in a Windows message and in Device Manager.

    In order to get rid of this problem the you will have to install all the drivers properly. Unless the drivers are installed on your system you cannot get the dvd drive working properly. Try to check the website of the manufacturer since the manufacturer will provide you the driver. This should help you

    Open the start menu and click on run and typein regedit and then press the Enter button. Now go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} key and in the right side if you find any of the keys mentioned below simply delete them.

    Perform the steps mentioned below to solve the problem with your DVD drive

    • Go to start click All Programs
    • Select Accessories and right click Command Prompt and chose to Run as administrator.
    • bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    • Copy the above line and Paste it in the command prompt and press the enter key.
