Partition problem with ubuntu

Hello,
I have two partitions C: and D: on my laptop
on C: was installed windows vista
and I installed Ubuntu on D:
but compared with vista in ubuntu I do not see C: partition and only see the D: partition on the ubuntu operating system. How to view the other drive or the partition from the ubuntu operating system. Any help will be great. Thanks in advance.

Open a terminal: Applications> Accessories> Terminal
type:

sudo fdisk-l

Hello,
Even i want to know how to access the other drive of the hard disk with the linux base operating systems. I have tried what you have mentioned in the above post

Is there any other command that I can try or is there any other alternative to solve this problem, please if you have nay solution then I am the interested one.

Dsl, I thought it had a tag code in this. Open a terminal and typing

Code:

sudo fdisk-l

Also, remember that when you are trying to type the command in the terminal then you should be the root user, only if you are the root user then you can get the output of the following command. This should be pretty easy to do.

Hello,
You can not access your partittion C: because you have installed linux in windows. To access normally requires repartitioning the disk and do a real installation. You have two choices, be you partition your disk and you installed linux correctly. Or my favorite operating system that will cost you $ Windows and Linux installed you only as a great operating system. Anyway, I advise you to take the first option. A dual-boot is ideal.
