Check the terminatorwindow at the top of the standard GNOME terminal window. We in the Terminator window, click on a blank area of MouseRight, in the pop-up shortcut menu can be seen in "horizontal split" and "vertical split" 2. "Horizontal split" from the horizontal direction around the window is divided into two parts, each part placed on a terminal window; "vertical split" from the vertical direction of the current window is divided into upper and lower two parts, each part placed on a terminal window. Check and reply.

We can in the Ubuntu system desktop menu "Applications" < "Accessories" found under the "Terminator" item, click it to run Terminator. In addition, we can also directly in the X-Window terminal window, type the command "terminator" to run it. Terminator running, in the current desktop display a terminal window, at first glance, and GNOME terminal window is very similar, but the title bar is displayed as "Terminator", and no menu bar. Check and reply.

For example, we opened the Terminator a blank window, click the right mouse button, the pop-up shortcut menu, select "horizontal split" item, this time, around the window is divided into two parts, a terminal window on the left and then click on the blank spaces the right mouse button, the pop-up shortcut menu, select "vertical split" item, then the left side of the terminal window is divided into upper and lower two terminal window, that is, in a Terminator window open three GNOME Terminal window. Re: How to open multiple terminal windows in Ubuntu

We can in each terminal window, type the command, and can simultaneously view the results of the command execution. When the implementation of the multiple needs of long-running commands, we can keep abreast of the implementation of the various orders; and in a number of separate GNOME terminal window to perform a similar operation, often need to switch between windows in a terminal to view all results. Check and reply.

In the Terminator window, add the essence of the multi-terminal window GNOME terminal window, such as the terminal window to set the font, background color and other properties, as long as the standard GNOME terminal window is set on it. The specific method is to open a separate GNOME terminal window (gnome-terminal), in the program menu "Edit" click "Current Profile" key, modify the current terminal window configuration information, information is saved in the Terminator window, in the terminal window in parallel, the entry into force, that is, to use the new terminal window settings. All the best.
