Compatibility issue might be the reason that is affecting the application with the system. The compatibility problem can be resolved by installing the compatibility tools that is Windows Xp or Vista under Windows 7 from the compatibility center. As this tools will make the application to support the feature of the application that it may support well. So I hope this the way though which it can be done.

Perform a clean boot service. This would then let the application to perform well accordingly. As Clean boot service would basically switches off the services that is been activated and may be the reason for the compatibility problem. Click on the start button and then in the search box option type msconfig. Now choose Hide all Microsoft services under the selective startup tab. Disable the services and then restart the system.
