Exclamation Unable to disable program from XP MSConfig

When I attempt to disable a program in MSConfig, I get the error "Access denied...." and to log on as an administrator. This is my home machine, and no one else ever uses it. Please advise, thanks!!!

Re: Unable to disable program from XP MSConfig

i think you need to try a system restore of your computer and then check for the virus infection for you computer, also you need to check for malware in your system as it may be causing this problem. You can download updated antimalware for your computer and then just you need to scan your system and then check it out. I think this problem is mostly by the virus infection because there are many viruses which cause damage to the windows files.
