Only monitor sleeps in sleep mode in Windows 7

Hello everyone, I have recently done an upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7. The situation is that only monitor sleeps in sleep mode in Windows 7. This is the problem that I have been facing, since the upgradation is done. I cannot understand why this is happening. Kindly help me as soon as possible with the solutions that can be used in this situation.

Hello again, I need to specify that I have not done a clean install of the Windows 7 operating system. Actually, I have upgraded it from Windows Vista. from then, only monitor sleeps in sleep mode in Windows 7. Many of my friends have done an upgradation like I have done and they are no facing any such problems. Please help me in this situation and thank you in advance for your replies.
