The operating system runs hand-in-hand with a system’s hardware to generate a true home-theater recipient with the media-storage, routing, association and addition functions of a PC. A characteristic Media Center PC presents: All customary Windows XP programs, DVR with program guide, Local (antenna) digital and HDTV maintain (no digital playback for DTV or HDTV approaching from cable or satellite -- it's a DRM issue), Progressive-scan DVD playback, MP3 right of entry from individual hard drive or online, image viewing and editing, Playing and burning CDs and DVDs (data, audio and video), etc. |

It does not problem what type of display you have. The whole thing from a computer monitor to a flat-panel LCD to a CRT to a protuberance set will do. You immediately necessitate the right cable to make the correlation. Media Center PCs characteristically come with all of the essential inputs and outputs you would find on an A/V receiver, together with Composite, S-video and constituent Video. It will also have more PC-centric association like VGA, DVI or HDMI. You immediately make a decision which video quality you desire (or what your element can maintain), plug one end of the cable into your TV's input and plug the supplementary end into the PC's output. |
