| Installing NVIDIA on Linux
I installed the Linux operating system and much like to play the gamed on Linux operating system because my brother is needed the Linux OS for his practice on the Linux tutorials and I can also play the games.To play the big and heavy configured games,I need to install the NVIDIA graphics driver on my PC but I am little aware about the installation.So as newbie I would like to know about the installation procedures for NVIDIA on LINUX |

| Editing your /etc/inittab file Editing your /etc/inittab Sometimes,The distributor allows to edit your /etc/inittab file in non-GUI mode.To make sure,the installation of graphics driver.So you need to follow the given instructions: 1. Log in as root user and use the command given below: $ su root and you would be prompted for password,enter the administrator password . 2. Open the file /etc/inittab file in text editor and type the PICO command associated with the file name : # pico /etc/inittab 3. Search the statement in the file,like this : id:5:initdefault 4. Change the value from 5 to 3 Now Save the file and reboot your computer system. |
