Macintosh HD icon disappeared!

Hello,

I am having a beautiful white MacBook. I received yesterday, everything is OK! except that since the 10.6.2 update has been completed, the icon that represents the hard drive has completely disappeared from the desktop ...

If I plug a USB key or CD / DVD they normally appear.

Go see the Apple menu, "dashboards", "File Sharing". If file sharing is enabled, disable it. Then click on the icon for your disc. Press the "Enter" and give the name you want your machine. See if it resolves your issue.

There may be an undesirable character In the name of the disk. In this case the following method to repair.

Create a new folder. Give name that you want to give your hard drive. Selects the folder by clicking once on its icon. Copy (Edit menu: "Copy" or apple C). Throw the trash folder.
