| RDP port issues
So i changed the default RDP port in the registry and now i cannot remote in. No numbers, other than the default, work. I have opened the port in the firewall and even disabled the firewall and it still will not let me remote in. Oddly, if i change the port back to the default 3389, it works just fine. I even tried opening the port in the router and that didn't help. 3389 wasn't even in there in the first place so this should work regardless since i'm not trying to remote in from an external network, it's all a local network. Anyone have any ideas? |

What OS you have installed in your pc? Why don't you use Remote Desktop Web connection. It seems to me it will solve all your problems. Just give different port numbers to different machines and open the port in your router.

| Re: RDP port issues
It's XP. I could do the web connection, but I still would like to know how to solve my original problem because I've had the same problem in the past on other computers. It would be nice to know how to fix this issue if it comes up in the future. |
