| Mac os x : Fixing Time Machine backup error 11
I have tried to backup using time machine utility but I receive error message, Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while copying files to the backup volume. I have searched on google but everything seems to focus on the time capsule that guilt and therefore solutions for erasing hard disk, etc. Is this the only solution to remove this error ?? How should I fix Time Machine backup error 11 ??? Any thoughts and suggestions are highly appreciated. |

If you use an external hard drive as a backup drive, check the connection between the hard disk and your computer. Make sure that the drive is firmly connected and plugged into the mains. Make sure that the disk is turned on. If the backup drive connected to your network, make sure that there are computer and volume is still the same network, the volume is turned on and there are no network problems. |

Ensure that the rest of the backup volume is not enabled. If it is enabled, disable the hibernation feature for future Time Machine backups. Open the System Preferences, Time Machine and select the backup drive again. Did the problem start after deleting the backup volumes, the problem may be resolved when you select the volume again. |

If you use a Time Capsule as your backup disk, make sure using the AirPort Utility, if the Time Capsule configured correctly and connected to your network. Open a Finder window by clicking on the Finder icon in the Dock and then look under "devices". Your backup drive should be listed here. If the volume is not listed, it may be disabled, defective, or your network computer is not currently available. |

Has the password for the backup volumes changed since you've defined it as a backup drive ??? log on to the computer with the account that you used when you first configuration of Time Machine. Then, open the System Preferences, Time Machine and select the backup drive again. This problem can be even with the Keychain administration. |

If you want to start a backup with Time Machine, at any time, click the Time Machine icon in the Dock, hold down the mouse button and then select Create Backup Now "from the menu that appears. When Time Machine backup about 10 GB of data stops, check that your backup disk using the MBR (Master Boot Record). If so, you must change the partition type and erase the disk so that it is supported by Time Machine. |
